The Perfect Meatball

Prep Time: 30 Minutes
Cooked Time: 40-45 Minutes
Oven Temperature: 400 Degree Fahrenheit / 200 Degree, Celsius (first step)
INGREDIENTS:
Meat:
½ pound ground veal
½ pound ground pork
1 pound ground beef
Bread:
1 ¼ seasoned bread crumbs
Dairy:
½ cup of grated parm
1 egg
Produce:
2 tablespoons chopped flat leaf parsley
2 tablespoons chopped basil
Garlic
1 Small Onion
Other:
2 teaspoons salt
½ teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons olive oil
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400
Cut Garlic in half and wrap in foil, put in the oven
Chop your parsley and basil
Dice your onion (as small as you can, think about what you would want to bite into)
Take out your garlic when it is mushy and smells very fragrant (can take from 15-45)
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl until fully combined
Line a Sheet Pan with Foil
Take an ice cream scoop and scoop your meatballs (they don’t have to be far apart from one another on the sheet pan)
MINDFULNESS ACTIVITY: count each time you scoop a meatball, every fifth scoop smile and say something you are proud of
Put these in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until the middle looks like a well done hamburger
Broil for 1-3 Minutes (keep a close close eye because this goes quickly) look for a golden brown top
